Terms and conditions

Last updated October 7, 2026

These are the main terms for our hunts: payment, cancellation, travel documents and what we can and cannot be held responsible for.

Your booking agreement always applies

Before you pay anything, we send you a booking agreement for your hunt and your dates. It states the price, what is included and what is not, and the full terms. You read and sign it on your own page with us, together with our liability form.

The agreement you sign is the one that applies to your hunt. This page is a summary of its terms. If anything here differs from your agreement, the agreement applies.

6. Payment

The deposit is due as stated on your invoice from us.

The balance is due no later than two months before the first day of the hunt. If it is not paid by then, we have the right to cancel this agreement, and the deposit is not refunded.

7. Cancellation

  • If you cancel at least four months (120 days) before the first day of the hunt, we refund the deposit, less $500 to cover our expenses.
  • If you cancel less than four months before the first day of the hunt, the deposit is not refunded.
  • If you cancel less than two months before the first day of the hunt, the full payment is not refunded.

8. Reimbursement

  • Any animal that is wounded or hit, or found lost, is deemed as taken. The full trophy fee applies.

9. Travel documents and insurance

We advise all our clients to take out travel insurance before the hunt.

If you need a visa to enter Greenland, getting it is your responsibility, or your agent's. We cannot be held responsible if this is not taken care of before you arrive.

5. Payment

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total price of the hunt is due when you book, to secure your reservation. No dates, licenses, permits or hunting spots are confirmed until we have received the deposit and it has cleared.

The remaining balance is due no later than six months (180 days) before the first day of the hunt. If the balance is not paid by then, we may cancel the reservation without refunding the deposit.

6. Travel documents and insurance

If you need a visa, a valid passport or other documents to enter Greenland, getting them is your responsibility, or your agent's. We cannot be held responsible for this.

We recommend that every client takes out travel insurance before the hunt, and we strongly recommend that you insure the hunt and the trip as well.

7. Cancellation

  • A cancellation must be made in writing.
  • The deposit is not refunded under any circumstances, whatever the reason for the cancellation.
  • If you cancel after the final payment has been made, the final payment is not refunded either, unless we succeed in reselling your spot.
  • If we resell the cancelled spot, we may at our discretion refund the amount we recover, apart from the non-refundable deposit and less any administrative, marketing or transaction costs we have had.

8. Transfers and credits

  • At our sole discretion, a cancelled booking may be transferred to another qualified hunter whom we approve, or converted into a credit towards a future hunt, less an administrative fee.
  • A credit is subject to availability and must be used within the same season as the original hunt date.
  • A credit has no cash value and cannot be transferred unless we have expressly approved it in writing.

9. Risk, insurance and limitation of liability

You acknowledge and accept that all hunting in Greenland involves inherent risks and uncertainties, including but not limited to extreme weather, remote locations, encounters with wildlife, difficult transport and limited infrastructure.

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel and trip cancellation insurance, covering medical emergencies, evacuation, trip interruption and non-refundable hunting costs. If you do not take out adequate insurance, that is entirely at your own risk.

We are not responsible or financially liable for any delay, interruption, change or cancellation of the hunt caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Weather, including storms, ice conditions, extreme cold and unsafe travel conditions.
  • Safety concerns, including risks to guides, staff or clients.
  • Governmental actions, including changes to laws, regulations, quotas, permits, licenses or area closures.
  • Force majeure, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, strikes and civil unrest.
  • Other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, including the unexpected closure of hunting areas or access routes.

Such events are not a breach of this agreement by us, and they do not entitle you to any refund beyond what is expressly stated in sections 5, 7 and 8.

Under no circumstances are we liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including but not limited to airfare, travel expenses, accommodation, equipment, licenses, lost hunting opportunities or lost income.

Our decisions on weather, safety, access and whether the hunt continues are final and binding.
